Priya
Shah is an Indian creative dancer who equally excels in Kathak.
Priya showed aptitude for dancing from the tender age of six.
Noticing Priya's passion, her parents encouraged her to start
Bharat Natyam in Rajrajeshwari Bharat Natyam Kalamandir, Mumbai.
Later she showed keen interest in Kathak & Folk dances. Her
training in both the branches began under Guru Arun Chandiwala &
Guru Kamalakar Salvi. Since 1985 she has been associated with
Marathi, Gujarathi and Hindi stage as well as film industry. She
also performed dances in India and all over the world including
International folk dance festival ( France & Spain 2001),
Gujarathi and Marathi stage shows in Africa, London (UK), Canada
and United States.
She also shows interest and passion in choreographing creative
Indian dancing. She choreographed for International Festivals in
Florida & Pennsylvania including various private functions like
weddings,
anniversaries and birthday parties.
Although actively participating in stage shows, Priya cannot
resist the urge to share the joy of dancing with her students.
As a dedicated teacher, she never stops at the perfection of
technique alone but also tries to instill a sense of total
involvement with the Art in her students. |
